Privacy Policy

Calcall Calculator (in-app name: “Calcall”) · Effective date: November 1, 2026

In short

1. Who we are

Calcall Calculator is developed by an independent developer (“we”, “us”). This policy explains what information the app handles and how.

2. Information we do not collect

We do not ask for, collect, or store your name, email address, phone number, contacts, location, photos, advertising identifier, or any account information. The app contains no third-party analytics, advertising, crash-reporting, or tracking SDKs, and it does not track you across other companies’ apps or websites.

3. Data stored on your device

Everything you enter is saved locally on your device so the app can remember it, using Apple’s standard on-device storage (UserDefaults, SwiftData and local files in the app’s container). This includes, for example:

This data is not sent to us. The app does not offer iCloud sync or data sharing. Your device’s own backups (for example, an iCloud or computer backup you have enabled in iOS) may include app data under Apple’s terms; we have no access to them.

4. Camera

If you use the scan feature, the app asks for permission to use the camera to recognize printed math expressions. Recognition is performed on your device using Apple’s Vision framework. Captured images are not stored by the app beyond the recognition step and are never uploaded. You can turn camera access off at any time in iOS Settings.

5. Exchange rates and network requests

To show currency, metal and crypto rates, the app downloads a public rate list from https://rates.calcall.net, a service we operate on Cloudflare Workers. The request contains no personal data, account, or calculation content. However, as with any internet connection:

Cloudflare processes this data as our service provider. See the Cloudflare Privacy Policy. Rates themselves come from third-party market data providers; your requests are not forwarded to them.

The rest of the app works offline. Links you tap in the app (for example, to the App Store or X/Twitter) open in other apps or your browser and are governed by those services’ policies.

6. Ratings

The app may occasionally show Apple’s standard rating prompt. Ratings and reviews are handled by Apple; we do not learn whether you rated the app.

7. Data retention and deletion

On-device data stays until you delete it in the app or delete the app, which removes the app’s local data from the device (copies in your own device backups follow those backups’ settings). Server-side logs are kept for up to 7 days and rate-limit counters for about 60 seconds, after which they are deleted automatically.

8. Children

The app is a general-audience utility and does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children under 13. Health calculations are for general reference only and are not medical advice.

9. Your rights

Because we do not hold personal data that identifies you, we usually cannot link any request to you. If you have a question or a request under applicable privacy law (such as GDPR or CCPA), contact us and we will respond.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when the app changes. The new version will be posted on this page with a new effective date. Significant changes will also be noted in the app’s release notes.
